Client: TWIX

Medium/Product: Funny Or Die Social Campaign featuring 1x video and 8x memes posted to Funny Or Die’s social channels

Overview: This social campaign was an extension of a Funny Or Die video where Vanessa Bayer plays Cam Valentine, the plucky mediator trying to squash the beef between Right TWIX and Left TWIX.

The creative team faced a big challenge when we found out that the talent was in for the project, but didn’t feel like the original Last Week Tonight parody concept felt right for the character. I stepped in and pitched a YouTube “Spilling the T/Why I Left Buzzfeed” approach that still felt in line with the original concept, but made more sense with this “normal” character.

Since we did need to pivot, I put together the memes based off of the original concept, and then updated them once we had a new concept, and both versions are available to view below!

In the midst of this project, my Funny Or Die team was acquired by Roku to form the Roku Brand Studio. In the aftermath of this acquisition, TWIX elected to post the assets to their social channels, and you can see the contextual copy that I wrote below:
